The Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) has appointed 5 renowned Pakistani players in a mentorship role for an upcoming domestic cricket event.
The mentors have been appointed on a three-year contract, the list includes Misbah-Ul-Haq, Waqar Younis, Shoaib Malik, Saqlain Mushtaq, and Sarfaraz Ahmed.
The process to appoint the 5 mentors was transparent and rigorous as stated by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Misbah-ul-Haq, Saqlain Mushtaq, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik and Waqar Younis have been named as mentors for the Champions Cup. 🌟🏏

All these members have great experience of coaching as all of them have played for Pakistan and most of them previously have been in the coaching capacity too for the national team.
Waqar Younis, who was the advisor of the PCB on Cricket affairs, Saqlain Mushtaq has previously coached the national side, while Misbah-Ul-Haq and Waqar Younis have previously been the head coaches of the national team.
The first assignment for these mentors will be the upcoming domestic cricket event, for 2024-25, the Champions One Day Cup. The tournament is scheduled to begin at Faisalabad from September 12-29.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has made it compulsory for all the top Pakistani players to partake in this upcoming domestic tournament.
