UP Warriorz have announced Chinelle Henry as the replacement for their skipper Alyssa Healy, who has decided to skip the third season of the Women's Premier League (WPL).

Henry Joins The Warriorz

The Aussie Skipper Healy announced her decision following a dominant Ashes performance against England (16-0) that she'll be missing the competition and would rest and recuperate for a couple of months to get fit for the Women's ODI World Cup slated to be held in India later this year.

Henry, an all-rounder from the West Indies, has represented the Windies across 62 WT20Is in her career, scoring 473 runs at a strike rate of 91.13. With the ball, she has scalped 22 wickets to her name. She picked up 3 wickets and scored 50 runs across three matches during the T20I series between India and the West Indies in December.

Henry joins the squad for INR 30 Lakhs but the UP Warriorz are yet to reveal their skipper for the upcoming season scheduled to begin on February 14th.

Garth and Graham join RCB

Meanwhile, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru have roped in the dynamic Aussie duo of Kim Garth & Heather Graham for the Third season. The duo will replace New Zealand skipper Sophie Devine & England player Kate Cross who are opting out of the tournament due to personal reasons.

The Bengaluru franchise is already a spinner short with Sophie Molineux too ruled out of the tournament with a shoulder injury. The Aussie spinner's triple wicket over in the final last year helped RCB win their maiden title.

Devine has taken an indefinite break from domestic cricket and therefore, opted out of this year's WPL. She was a mainstay at the top of the batting order for RCB over the last two seasons with her 99 against the Gujarat Giants being her best knock of the WPL a couple of seasons ago.

Garth, a fast-bowler who switched forces from Ireland to Australia has played 59 T20Is with 764 runs and 49 wickets. Garth has previously represented the Gujarat Giants in the two editions of the WPL. Meanwhile, Heather Graham marks her maiden appearance in the League. On experience & form front Graham has played just 5 T20Is picking up 8 wickets. Graham played 11 matches in last year's Women's Big Bash League (WBBL).

Both Garth and Graham join RCB at INR 30 Lakhs.
