Another Change In Personnel

Another change in the coaching stint of an IPL side is on the cards, After the departure of Ricky Ponting from Delhi Capitals, it is now the turn of their Northern Rivals Punjab Kings where another Aussie in Trevor Bayliss is unlikely to stay in the Punjab dugout for 2025.

Bayliss was contracted for 2 years, under him Punjab couldn't do much and finished 8th and 9th in the points table respectively.

If the sources are to be believed Punjab Kings are looking for an Indian coach who can understand the conditions better and can guide the team on the auction table and then in the season. The franchise had scheduled a meeting for the same but it did not happen.

The Indian coaches have been among the talk of the town in the last few months with Rahul Dravid becoming the World Cup-winning coach with Team India in June before that Gautam Gambhir helped KKR to win their third IPL along with head coach Chandrakant Pandit.

Bayliss has had stints with Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad, before entering the Punjab Kings dugout. Bayliss is remembered for his performance as a coach in International Cricket with the England team when the side won the 2019. However, coming into franchise Cricket the numbers are quite underwhelming.

Post IPL and T20 World Cup, there have been many developments regarding IPL 2025 and auction, many teams are now looking out for new personnel ahead of IPL 2025 if the reports are to be believed Ashish Nehra and Vikram Solanki have had their last with GT, KKR are also on the lookout after Gautam Gambhir resigned from his post, after being appointed as the Indian Senior Men's team head coach, along with him Abhishek Nayar who was also at KKR has also joined the national setup.
