Shocking news came across, Former Bangladesh cricket team captain Tamim Iqbal faced a heart attack during the toss on 24 March 2025. The 36-year-old was Leading the Mohammedan Sporting Club against the Shinepukur Cricket Club at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan (BKSP) ground where they Faced chest pain.
Tamim took part in the toss but soon after, he felt unwell. He was immediately seen lying on the ground before being taken to the nearest hospital for Survey. Confirming the incident, the chief Physician of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Debashish Chaudhary, said, he complained of chest pain and was taken to the nearest hospital where he underwent an ECG.

An emergency angioplasty procedure was required to implant stents and restore proper blood flow after a medical test identified a blockage in Tamim's heart. After the surgery, he was sent to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) for close monitoring.
