Gabriel's Retirement Speech
"In the last 12 years or so I have always shown dedication to playing for the West Indies, the game has given me many happy memories, but as they say, good things must come to an end" Gabriel stated via his Instagram Handle
Gabriel has taken 166 wickets at an average of 32. He also holds the fourth-best bowling figures for West Indies 13-121 against Sri Lanka, he last featured for West Indies against India in a test match last year at Port Of Spain.
"I'm now looking forward to representing my country Trinidad & Tobago Cricket Club, and also looking forward to playing some franchise cricket, with the same love and passion with which I served West Indies cricket" Gabriel Quipped
Gabriel has had some lows too in his career, he was bowled out slogging across the line by Pakistan's leg spinner Yasir Shah, and the West Indies had to negotiate just one more over to save the Dominica Test in 2017. Gabriel also got banned for using a homophobic slur against Joe Root in 2019.
