Pakistan Cricket Team has decided to leave out their star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi ahead of the 2nd and final test against Bangladesh starting from 30th August at the Rawalpindi Stadium.

Pakistan's bowling coach Jason Gillespie stated that the fast bowler is working on a few things in his bowling that can help him to become a better bowler.

Jason Gillespie on Shaheen Afridi's omission

"Yes he's missing this one, we've had some conversations with him and he fully understands the decision and is cooperating well, he's working on a few things on his bowling with Azhar Mahmood, we want to Shaheen bowl at his full tilt as we have a lot of cricket coming up in future and we want him to be fit for that"

Shaheen has had a tough time in the red-ball format picking up only 14 wickets in 40 innings. He bowled on unhelpful and placid surfaces in Pakistan, however, he had dwindling returns in Australian conditions which favor fast bowlers. Shaheen couldn't cross the 140 mark.

Pakistan have added Abrar Ahmed in the playing 12 after Pakistan didn't pick a spinner in the opening test, Mir Hamza also finds a place for himself in the squad.
