Star Indian badminton player PV Sindhu tied the knot with Venkata Datta Rai in a traditional Telugu wedding in Udaipur on Sunday in the presence of close members & friends. While the couple has not yet shared official photos, several glimpses of the event have surfaced on social media, delighting fans and well-wishers.
The Union Minister of Culture & tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat shared a couple of pics from the event also extending his wishes to the newlywed couple in the ceremony.

The couple is planning to host a reception on December 24 in Hyderabad, Sindhu's hometown while also celebrating with a large gathering of family & friends.
The wedding ceremonies started on December 20 with the Sangeet ceremony followed by Haldi, Pallikuthuru, and the Mehndi rituals the following day. For the main function, Sindhu donned a cream-colored saree booming with elegance. Her groom complemented her attire with a similar cream-colored sherwani.
Sindhu's father stated that both families had known each other for many years. Both Sindhu & Datta decided the date strategically looking at Sindhu's schedule is all packed next year.
Venakatta Datta Rai is a Hyderabad-based entrepreneur, he is the executive director at Posidex Technologies. Venkatta Datta Sai is known for his reserved nature he was away from the public eye until the wedding announcement went viral.
PV Sindhu is one of the most celebrated players in Indian Badminton history, Sindhu is five-time world championship winner including a magnificent gold in 2019. Sindhu also won a silver medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics & a bronze in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Sindhu recently won a title in Syed Modi Tournament in Lucknow, also ending her trophy drought. In 2017, she also reached a career-high world ranking of number 2, adding another feather to her glorious career.
