The pitch at Mullanpur in Chandigarh is a slowish surface with a decent amount of grip & turn available for the spinners, hence ensuring the batters have to play their shots with the spin as the slowish nature of the pitch won't allow the batters to hit across the line. For fast bowlers, there will be some swing available, ensuring that there will be equal competition between both bat and ball. The presence of dew in the second innings will ensure that the team winning the toss will look to field first in this match.
Mullanpur's weather is expected to be hot. There are no chances of rainfall on the matchday, and temperatures will hover around 40°C.
Both teams have had a good league phase & even in the head-to-head records, the Punjab Kings are marginally ahead of their counterparts, RCB (17-18). The RCB side also went on to beat the Punjab Kings at this very venue earlier in the season, hence the rivalry between these two sides makes things interesting. The Punjab Kings have a better chance of winning the first qualifier 1 match against RCB
