India's Para shooter Rubina Francis has won a Bronze medal for the nation in shooting, in the 10m air pistol category. Rubina has bagged the fourth medal for India in shooting in Paralympics 2024.
Rubina went on to get a total score of 211.1 which helped her to finish third in the final round behind Iran's Sareh Javanmardi who top-scored with 236.6. Turkey's Ayzel Ozghan came second by scoring 231.1.
Rubina had failed to clinch a medal in the previous Paralympics in Tokyo in the final round. She won a gold medal in the world para shooting championships in 2022 which was her previous biggest achievement.
Rubina joins Avani Lekhara (Gold), Preethi Pal (Bronze), Manish Narwal (Silver) & Mona Agarwal (Bronze).

India has also confirmed a medal in Badminton after the duo of Suhas Yathiraj & Sukant Kadam qualified for the semi-finals.
