Preethi Pal has bagged the Bronze medal in the Paralympics 2024, she recorded her best performance with a score of 14,21s in the 100m event, and her personal best record to help India claim the third medal in the Paralympics.
She finished third in the competition just behind the Chinese duo of Xia Zhou and Qianqian.
Preethi had earlier won a medal in the World Para Athletics in Kobe this year to qualify for the finals in the Paris Games. She had missed out on two medals in the Para Asian Games last year but was always a serious contender for a medal in the Paris Paralympics.
India's Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi extended his congratulations to the Athlete.
