Oshada Fernando Roped In For Test Series Against New Zealand

Oshada Fernando Earns a Recall

Veteran Sri Lankan batter Oshada Fernando has earned a recall into the Sri Lankan batting lineup for the test series against New Zealand at home.

Oshada Fernando recently played an unofficial test for Sri Lanka A against South Africa A, he returned with scores of 122 & 80 to help his side win the game at Kimberly.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka has left out Nilshan Madushka, the opening batter who had a torrid time in England ending with scores of 4,0 & 7.

Sri Lanka have also dropped Kasun Rajitha & Nisala Tharaka from the 16-member contingent that toured England recently.

The 2-match test series is set to begin on 18th September while the 2nd test match will be contested from 26th of September. Both test matches will be played at Galle and are a part of the World Test Championship.
