Nuwan Thushara Ruled Out Of India Series, Madushanka To Replace Him

The Sri Lankan team has suffered another injury blow as Fast Bowler Nuwan Thushara is now ruled out of the upcoming series against India, the fast bowler suffered a blow on his left thumb in practice yesterday. Sri Lanka yesterday lost another fast bowler in Dushmantha Chameera to injury.

Thushara just like Lasith Malinga and Matheesha Pathirana has a slingy bowling action, Thushara was seen in the SA20 earlier in the year picking up 8 wickets in 7 games. Thushara played for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2024. On the International front, Thushara made his debut on the tour of Bangladesh, where he picked up his career-best figures of 5-20 helping Sri Lanka to a win.

Madhushanka Drafted In SL Squad

Now the Lankan Lions have called up left-arm seamer Dilshan Madhushanka who rose to fame in the ODI World Cup last year in India, Madushanka played in the LPL too but did not have a great time with the ball taking only 2 wickets in the entire season. Madushanka was a part of Mumbai Indians in the IPL but was ruled out of the season due to an injury
