Neeraj Chopra has qualified for the Men's Javelin Throw finals in the Paris Olympics 2024. clocking a throw of 89.34m.
Chopra crossed the qualification number of the 84m qualification mark quite easily in his first throw to make a place in the finals. Chopra put on a stellar show in the Tokyo Olympics too, as he crossed the qualifying mark of 84m in his first throw.

Chopra holds the national record with a throw of 89.94m which he achieved in the Stockholm Diamond League in Sweden in 2022.
Following Neeraj Chopra, Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem also claimed a place for himself in the finals. Nadeem has won a silver medal at the World Championships last year. He won a gold medal in the Commonwealth Games with a throw of 90.18m.

Vinesh Phogat put on a stellar show at the Paris Olympics, reaching the Semi-Finals of the Women's Wrestling event by beating Japan's Yui Susaki who is the defending champion, she also went on to beat a higher rank opponent from Ukraine Oksana Livach with a score of 7-5.
Before her success in the Pre Quarter Finals, She already stunned the four-time champion in Yui Susaki beating her on points.
Phogat will now face Yusneylis Guzman Lopez from Cuba in the Semi-Final clash, a win in that clash will guarantee a medal for Phogat, while a defeat will ensure that she will be playing in the Bronze medal match with the loser of the other semi-final clash.
