Indian Batters With Most Centuries In T20I Cricket

T20 Cricket is a fast-evolving format, with better wickets and batters now have multiple options to hit an incoming delivery to different corners of the ground.

Team India going for an all-out aggressive approach as said by former Indian T20 skipper Rohit Sharma, the young guns are just doing the exact same thing, Abhishek Sharma today became the 10th Indian batter to score a T20I ton for India.

Indian Batters with Most T20I Century

1. Rohit Sharma-5

There is a reason why he is called the 'Hitman' in the white ball format, Rohit Sharma has the natural gift of timing and with his lazy elegance and oozing class, he can smack the ball to different parts of the ground. He is the first Indian batter with most T20I centuries for India

He achieved this feat for the first time against South Africa playing in Dharamshala in 2015. Rohit was at his peak during the 2017-19 season smashing 3 centuries in T20Is, he smashed a scintillating 118 of 43 balls against Sri Lanka which is his best score. He then smacked a cracking ton in England at Bristol while chasing a total of 199 in 2018. His 4th and last ton his of T20I career came against the West Indies at Lucknow where scored 111.

2. Suryakumar Yadav- 4

Suryakumar Yadav is a late bloomer in International Cricket, but in his short T20 career, he has taken the world by storm and has earned a name for himself as a dangerous T20 batter almost next to the legend AB De Villiers in terms of range-hitting and variety of shots.

Surya had a dream run in 2022 where he was the highest run-scorer in T20Is for the year. SKY scored his first ton against England at Trent Bridge, Nottingham in 2018 (117 off 55 balls), Surya scored another ton in the very same year this time against New Zealand in their backyard scoring a whirlwind knock of 111 off 51 balls.

He continued his merry way in the early part of 2023, this time smashing a ton against Sri Lanka in a T20 at Rajkot, scoring 112 off just 51 balls. He scored his fourth ton against South Africa at the fag end of 2023 in a T20 at the iconic Johannesburg (100 off 56). He is the second Indian batter with most T20I centuries for India

3. KL Rahul Rahul- 2

KL Rahul holds the third rank for scoring T20I tons for India, he smashed his first T20I ton against West Indies at Lauderhill, USA. That knock is remembered by many as that knock almost took India to victory and was also near to their highest-ever T20 run chase. India fell short by one run in chasing 246. Rahul scored 110 off 46.

He scored his 2nd T20I ton against England in 2018 in Manchester scoring 101 off 54 helping India claim an 8-wicket win. He is the third Indian batter with most T20I centuries for India

4. Virat Kohli- 1

Virat Kohli scored his one and only ton against Afghanistan in the 2022 Asia Cup in Dubai. Kohli before that ton had a real tough time as he wasn't able to score an International ton for more than 3 years. Kohli scored 122 off 61 balls. He is the fourth Indian batter with most T20I centuries for India.

5. Suresh Raina- 1

Suresh Raina was the first person to score a T20I ton for India against South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2009 at Gros Islet in St. Lucia. Raina scored 101 off 60. He is the fifth Indian batter with most T20I centuries for India

6. Deepak Hooda- 1

Deepak Hooda was on a different planet that day, whatever he touched turned into gold against Ireland in Malahide in 2022. Hooda scored 104 off 57. He is the sixth Indian batter with most T20I centuries for India

7. Shubman Gill- 1

Shubman Gill had a great 2023 scoring runs wherever he went, he chose his favorite ground in Ahmedabad to become the 7th batter to score a T20I ton for India. Gill scored 126 off 63 deliveries against New Zealand. Gill became the seventh Indian batter with most T20I centuries for India

8. Yashasvi Jaiswal- 1

Yashasvi Jaiswal was the 8th Indian batter to score a T20I ton against Nepal in the all-important Asian games. Jaiswal had a great tournament which helped India to get gold in the Asian Games in Hangzhou. Jaiswal scored 100 off 48 deliveries against Nepal in the Asian Games Quarter Finals. He is the eighth Indian batter with most T20I centuries for India

9. Ruturaj Gaikwad- 1

Ruturaj Gaikwad became the 9th Indian batter to score a T20I ton for India. He achieved this feat against Australia in a T20I at Guwahati. Gaikwad scored 123 runs in the game but unfortunately, the century went in vain as Australia won the game. He is the ninth Indian batter with most T20I centuries for India

10. Abhishek Sharma- 1

Young batting sensation Abhishek Sharma becomes the latest entrant to score a T20I ton for India. Sharma while batting against Zimbabwe achieved this feat, scoring exactly 100 off 47. He is the tenth Indian batter with most T20I centuries for India.
