Men In Blue Set For a Road Show In Mumbai After a Meeting With PM

The Indian Men's Team is all set for a roadshow in Mumbai after meeting with PM in New Delhi.

The Indian Team is back home after a successful campaign in the T20 World Cup, The Men in Blue were stuck in Barbados for a couple of days extra due to a Hurricane situation.

The Heroes Are Back

The Men In Blue arrived in New Delhi at 6 Am in the morning, the BCCI has lined up many events for the Men In Blue. According to BCCI officials, After arrival in New Delhi, they will check in to ITC Maurya in Central Delhi. Post this they'll immediately leave to meet PM Narendra Modi.

The meeting with Modi will take place in two batches -- first with the players and then with the members of the support staff -- from 9.30 am onwards.

Post the meeting the Men In Blue will fly to Mumbai via a special Charter flight, where an open bus roadshow has been lined up for the audience.

According to the tentative plan, the roadshow will start at the Air India Building at Nariman Point and will conclude with a gathering at the Wankhede where the team will be felicitated by the BCCI.

The Men in Blue had to wait a little longer after their win at Barbados as Hurricane Beryl wreaked havoc in the country which led to a complete closure of airports. It was only on Wednesday when the conditions were better and the team was good to depart.

The Air India private jet flew into Barbados from the Newark Airport in New Jersey and touched down in Barbados around 2 am on Wednesday.

The Men's team finally broke their 11-year drought of an ICC title, they last won a trophy way back in 2013 in England the Champions Trophy under the leadership of MS Dhoni. India in last year reached three ICC finals, where they lost two to Australia, The World Test championship Final in June at Kennington Oval, and a home ODI World Cup Final in Ahmedabad.
