Fresh Faces In Indian Squad

Mayank Yadav, a fast Bowler from Delhi has earned a maiden call-up into the Indian team that is slated to compete against the Asian Neighbors Bangladesh in a 3-match T20I series starting from October 6.

Mayank Yadav caught a lot of attention in the IPL this year when featured for the Lucknow Supergiants for the first time this year. Yadav consistently clocked 150-155 kph hurrying the batters with his, ensuring he grabbed a lot of eyeballs in the Indian circuit.

Unfortunately for Mayank, his IPL 2024 came to a sad end as he got injured in a game against the Mumbai Indians at Lucknow, it was later disclosed that he had an abdominal strain, that had relapsed ensuring he could not play a further part in the IPL.

Another young & exciting prospect Nitish Kumar Reddy has also been handed over a national call-up. Reddy had a great IPL 2024 where scored 303 runs and also picked up a few wickets.

Reddy was initially set to play in the series against Zimbabwe, but, an injury delayed his chances to wear the Indian cap. Reddy made a comeback in the recently concluded Duleep Trophy.

India T20I Squad vs Bangladesh

Squad: Suryakumar Yadav (C), Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (WK), Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Riyan Parag, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakaravarthy, JItesh Sharma (WK), Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Mayank Yadav

From the previous squad that had toured Zimbabwe & Sri Lanka the likes of Shubman Gill, Yashashvi Jaiswal, Khaleel Ahmed, Axar Patel, Rishabh Pant, Mohammad Siraj & Ruturaj Gaikwad have been excluded from the squad.

Abhishek Sharma, who was excluded from the Sri Lanka series has earned a recall into the side, apart from him CV Varun & Jitesh Sharma have also earned a recall while Harshit Rana & Sanju Samson have retained their spots. Surya Kumar Yadav will be leading the Indian troops once again.

The T20I series begins on October 6 in Gwalior, post that the teams will head to New Delhi to play the 2nd T20I & then the tour culminates with the 3rd T20I at Hyderabad.
