Sri Lanka has been hampered with further injury blows, as they lose their key fast bowlers, Matheesha Pathirana and Dilshan Madushanka are ruled out of the ODI series starting on 2nd August.
Sri Lanka has already lost the services of Dushmantha Chameera and Nuwan Thushara due to injuries even before the beginning of the tour. Ehsan Malinga and Mohamed Shiraz have been added as replacements in the squad.

Dilshan Madushanka suffered a left hamstring injury (Grade 2), the player sustained during fielding at practices.

Kusal Perera, Jeffrey Vandersay, and Pramod Madushan have been kept as the standby players for the series.
Madushanka suffered a grade 2 tear in the fielding sessions, while Pathirana got a mild strain to his shoulder while fielding in the 3rd T20I. The Sri Lankan Cricket Board stated in a press release.
Shiraz has a great List A record in 47 games with an economy of 4. Ehsan Malinga debuted in 2022. The duo has the best opportunity to showcase their talent.
