Bangladesh Cricket Team has suffered a blow as Mahmudul Hasan is now ruled out of Pakistan tour.

The Bangladesh Cricket Team has suffered a big blow ahead of their series opener against Pakistan, as their opening batter Mahmudul Hasan is now ruled out of the series due to a groin injury.

BCB Physician In a Statement to Cricbuzz

"We had received a mail stating that he has an injury to his groin, and will need rest for at least 3 weeks". BCB Physician Debashsish Chowdhary stated.

Mahmudul Hasan was part of the touring Bangladeshi A team, got injured while fielding and hence he couldn't bat in the second innings against Shaheens at Islamabad. In the first innings, Hasan scored 65 runs.

The series opener is scheduled to be played at Rawalpindi from August 21, while the second test commences on August 30 at Karachi. Bangladesh are traveling to Islamabad from Lahore after they wrapped up their 3-day training session in Pakistan.

Bangladesh arrived in Pakistan early to get acclimatize to the conditions and also to ensure that their departure doesn't get delayed due to the ongoing tense political situation in Bangladesh.
