The Lucknow Supergiants franchise has announced Zaheer Khan as their mentor for the upcoming season, both camps have been in negotiations for some time now.
Zaheer Khan will now link up with head coach Justin Langer, Lance Klusener, Adam Voges and Jonty Rhodes.

The Lucknow Supergiants were without a mentor last season, as their former mentor Gautam Gambhir had left for Kolkata Knight Riders.

Goenka stated that the reason to include Zaheer Khan was also to improve the team's performance, as he was not happy with the team's performance as the franchise in their 3-year history didn't qualify for the playoffs for the first time.
The post of a bowling coach which is now vacant as former South African fast bowler Morne Morkel has now joined the Indian national coaching setup in the capacity of bowling coach.
Whether Zaher Khan will take the role of a bowling coach is still unclear, but he will bring his expertise in terms of bowling to the table as a mentor.
