The 2026 Women's T20 World Cup, which will be hosted by England & Wales, is set to have its final at the iconic Lord's. The ECB made the announcement on Thursday (May 1). This will be the third time that the Lord's will be hosting an ICC final in recent years. The venue hosted the Women's ODI World Cup final between England & India in 2017 & the 2019 ODI World Cup final between New Zealand & England. Coincidentally, the English team came out on top on both occasions.

Apart from Lord's, six other venues have also been finalized that will host the mega event, Old Trafford, Edgbaston, Hampshire Bowl, County Ground Bristol, Headingley & The Oval. The tournament is set to begin on 12th June, where 12 teams will be participating & will be divided into 2 groups of six each. The final is set to be hosted at Lord's on July 5.

The ICC Chair Jay Shah has backed the ECB to host a flawless tournament & hoped that England's rich tradition in sport will provide a good outlook to Women's Cricket.

Jay Shah Speaks On Women's World Cup

"The confirmation of venues for the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup is a defining moment in ensuring everything goes smoothly. This tournament will feature some of the finest players to compete at the International level. This is going to be a mega celebration for Women's cricket," said Shah.
"The UK's rich cricketing diversity has often proved the support the game gets here from the fans, a sell-out Women's ODI World Cup final in 2017 is a testament to it, as to how the Women's game has grown in this part of the world. Hosting the World Cup final at Lord's will be a fitting end to the tournament".
"As we turn our heads towards making this tournament a grand success, this tournament would not just excite the fans here but also be a showcase of cricket's return to the Olympics in LA in 2028."

ECB CEO Is Confident Of Hosting The World Cup Right
