Cricket in a country like India is a religion, In India 3 things are popular I.e. Politics, Cricket, and Films. Cricketers are treated like gods by their fans. They are quite passionate about their game and follow the game and the Cricketers with great enthusiasm.

The Cricketers have played and are playing the game with pride with their only aim to make their team win. However, there are few Cricketers who are also involved in other professions apart from being just a Cricketer. Many Cricketers have chosen to serve the nation in other ways by doing a Government Job.

1. Mahendra Singh Dhoni ( Lieutenant Colonel Indian Army)

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni is the most successful captain for India across formats, he's got all the major trophies for India in the ICC event, besides this, the maestro has also led his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings to 5 IPL titles. Dhoni apart from being a Cricketer has also served the nation as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army.

He was the second Cricketer to be awarded this rank after the great Kapil Dev. Dhoni has often promoted the Indian Army whether it's about playing with a Camouflage cap in an ODI against Australia in 2019 post the Pulwama Attack on armed forces to having a green camouflage on the Chennai Super Kings jersey near the Shoulder Area.

5. Yuzvendra Chahal (Income Tax Officer)

Yuzvendra Chahal has been a vital cog in the Indian Team, but as of today, he is struggling to find a place in the regular 11 due to the emergence of better spinners and also those who are better in terms of fitness. Chahal though has turned many matches in India's favor in the past.

He played a crucial role for India in the 2019 World Cup in their run to the Semi-Finals. Chahal in IPL has played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru for a long period before moving to Rajasthan Royals in 2022. Chahal apart from being a Cricketer is an income tax officer, he was appointed as the Income Tax Officer in Haryana, a place where he resides and plays his domestic Cricket too.

Veteran Off Spinner Harbhajan Singh, has picked many wickets for his country at the International Stage, Bhajji is also one of the star bowlers when it comes to IPL Cricket. He is often seen as a Cricket expert in the Star Sports broadcast. Harbhajan, apart from being a Cricketer is also a DSP of Punjab.

7. Joginder Sharma (DSP of Haryana)

Joginder Sharma is a well-known commodity in Indian Cricket, especially when the final of the 2007 T20 World Cup is talked about. He successfully defended 12 runs in the final over against a well-set Misbah-Ul-Haq in the Bull Ring at Johannesburg. Sharma then switched to a full-time Government job and is a DSP in Haryana.
