Iron Mike Tyson Returns to Ring

According to a story published on November 3, 2023, Netflix is thinking about broadcasting a boxing battle featuring Jake Paul. The partnership between Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions was announced on March 7, 2024. The event will feature Paul vs Mike Tyson, the former undisputed heavyweight world champion, on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Netflix will be the exclusive global streaming service for the event.

Following his debut as a boxer in February 2023, Paul, 27, suffered a split decision defeat against Tommy Fury in opposition to other YouTubers and former mixed martial artists. He declared he was going to change his path in the hopes of pursuing a legitimate boxing career after facing Nate Diaz, another MMA fighter, in August of last year. Since then, he has defeated Ryan Bourland and Andre August via first-round knockouts while competing at the cruiserweight limit of 200 pounds.

Tyson returned to the ring barely five months after spending less than three years in prison for a rape conviction that occurred between 1992 and 1995. After two victories, he defeated Frank Bruno in 1996 to reclaim the WBC title.

Even though Tyson is older than other boxers, his star power hasn't diminished in the slightest. Even though Tyson's last competitive match was in 2005, he is still regarded as one of the world's most famous people, not just in the sports world. For the record, despite his senior age, Tyson still has the appearance of the actor. Even after all these time, he still has that fierce appearance on the pads. It would be interesting to see if he can defeat Paul, who is a much better boxer than is generally acknowledged.
