After a lot of guesswork, and rumors the D-day came on the occasion of Diwali 'The Retentions'. There were plenty of more surprises when Rajasthan Royals decided to let go of their star opener Jos Buttler ahead of the auction.

On the other hand, in the scenes that unfolded at Hyderabad last year after LSG's crushing loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 10 wickets, it looked imminent that the LSG captain KL Rahul would go into the auction.
