The Sri Lankan Cricket Team has made a new appointment in their coaching staff, roping in the former England batter Ian Bell for their upcoming tour of England which is slated to begin on August 21.
Bell has had many coaching stints previously with Derbyshire, England U19 team, he was also associated with the New Zealand side before the ODI World Cup in India.

Bell has donned the England whites 118 times where scored close to 8000 runs Test runs and averaged just under 50. Bell is known as the 'savior' for his team as he has played many crucial knocks for England in the toughest situation mainly during the Ashes tours.
Sri Lanka Cricket CEO Ashley De Silva wanted an experienced and local player who could guide the young Sri Lankan batters in what will be an anticipated tough of England.
"We have roped in Ian Bell, as he is a local here and someone who has played plenty of games for England in these conditions, his insights will be a key for our batters to help them cope with the conditions". Silva concluded
