The Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) came to a close on Sunday (December 1) with Melbourne Renegades Women clinching their maiden WBBL title by defeating the Brisbane Heat in the finals by a slender margin of 7 runs via the (DLS method) at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

In this season of WBBL, as many as 6 players were selected for different franchises. The Women in Blue had a poor T20 World Cup campaign where they crashed out in the Group stages. After the debacle in Dubai, the Indian contingent had an ideal opportunity to use the WBBL to their advantage by regaining their form and mojo back. How did Indian players play in this season of WBBL? let's find out

3. Deepti Sharma (Melbourne Stars)- 58 Runs & 2 Wickets Matches-7

India's premier spin-bowling all-rounder Deepti Sharma had a very disappointing campaign as she failed miserably both with the bat & ball in the 7 games she played for the Melbourne Stars. Scoring just 58 runs & picked up only 2 wickets. Deepti's struggle in the middle order was evident that she looked completely out of sorts in a disappointing campaign for the stars who finished at the bottom.
