The Indian Premier League (IPL) has seen batters hitting centuries, easily smashing the ball out of the park. In this elite list, Chris Gayle smashed the fastest century in just 30 balls against the Pune Warriors in 2013, which is still the fastest ton in the tournament's history. Today, Priyansh Arya became the fifth fastest centurion in the history of the IPL, scoring a magnificent ton against CSK in IPL 2025.
Chris Gayle holds the record for smashing the fastest century in the history of the IPL. The West Indian Southpaw achieved this feat against the Pune Warriors in 2013. Gayle went on to score 175* which is still the highest score in the history of the IPL. Gayle smacked a total of 30 shots across the boundary with 17 fours & 13 sixes.
Yusuf Pathan has the second-fastest century in IPL history Pathan smashed a 37-ball ton against the Mumbai Indians which is still the fastest ton by an Indian in the history of the IPL. Pathan smacked 8 fours & 9 sixes at the iconic Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. Unfortunately, he couldn't win the Royals help chase the target.
Star South African batter David Miller comes third on the list in terms of fast centuries in IPL history. Miller smashed a scintillating ton against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Mohali in 2013. Punjab was in a state of bother in a run chase of 192. Miller stroked a brilliant 101 with 7 fours & 8 sixes to seal a memorable win for Punjab in Mohali.
SRH opener Travis Head went berserk against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium as he stroked a 39-ball ton in IPL 2024. His knock helped SRH post a mammoth 287 against RCB which is the highest ever score in the history of the IPL.
Young left-handed opener from the Punjab Kings Priyansh Arya lit up the ground in New Chandigarh in Mullanpur against the 5-time champions Chennai Super Kings. The southpaw from Delhi started with an aggressive approach from the first ball, dispatching Khaleel Ahmed high & over covers. The wickets did fall around Priyansh, but he still kept going & scored a fabulous 103 off 49 balls with 7 fours & 9 sixes, thus helping Punjab to reach 219-6 in their 20 overs.
