Ace Indian archer Deepika Kumari stormed into the women’s individual event quarter-finals, defeating Germany’s Michelle Kroppen 6-4 on Saturday in the elimination round after recording a score of 27-24 in the first set to garner two points.
The two then shot 27-27 in the second set to share the points. Deepika won the third set 26-25.

In the 4th set, Kroppen took two points with a 29-27 win, but Deepika had already entered the set with a two-point lead.
In the fifth and the final set both the players had a tie with 27-27 points each, the points were split and Deepika walked away with a 6-4 win to qualify for the Quarter-Finals.
