Sri Lanka Cricket has announced their T20I squad for their upcoming series against India.
Charith Asalanka has been appointed to lead the squad after Wanindu Hasaranga stepped down from the position ahead of the series against India. The new squad marks a comeback of some old faces Dinesh Chandimal and Kusal Perera. Senior pros like Dhananjaya De Silva and Angelo Mathews have been axed from the squad.
Meanwhile, Youngster Chamindu Wickramasinghe, Binura Fernando and Avishka Fernando have earned a comeback into the side. While Dilshan Madushanka and Sadeera Samarawickrama.

Asalanka recently won the title with Jaffna Kings in the LPL, Avishka Fernando was the highest run-getter, and Kusal Janith Perera too had a great tournament. On the bowling front, Binura Fernando scalped 13 wickets in 8 games.
Sri Lanka will take on the world champions India in the three-match series over four days all of which will be played in Pallekele starting on July 27.
