Chamari Athapaththu To Lead Sri Lanka In Asia Cup 2024

The Sri Lankan Cricket team has announced their squad for the upcoming Asia Cup. The 15-member squad has some familiar faces with Chamari Athapaththu set to lead the team again.

Sri Lanka has shown immense in faith youngster Vishmi Gunaratne who played a mature knock in recent matches. 26 year old Harshitha Samarawickrama also finds a place.

Sri Lanka have recalled Anushka Sanjeewani, Udeshika Prabodhani and Achini Kulasuriya, all these were a part of the team for the ODI series against West Indies. These 3 didn't play the T20 series. West indies beat Sri Lanka by 3-0 to win the T20 series.

Sri Lanka will start the tournaments as favorites as they recently beat England and South Africa in T20I series away from home.
