Cameron Green is set for a Test return as he was named in Australia's 15-member squad for the World Test Championship finale at Lord's next month. The star all-rounder has also been named for the following Caribbean tour announced by Cricket Australia.

The squad also sees the return of skipper Pat Cummins & Josh Hazlewood, who missed out on the test tour of Sri Lanka & the Champions Trophy due to injuries. Both players announced their comeback through the Indian Premier League (IPL). While Pat Cummins is set to wear the Whites of Australia again, doubts loom large over Josh Hazlewood who missed RCB's home game against CSK due to shoulder niggle, he was doubtful starter for the RCB-LSG clash too before the tournament eventually got suspended.

Brendan Doggett, who won the player of the match award in the final, has been named as the only reserve by Cricket Australia. The remainder of the squad is the same that beat Sri Lanka 2-0 & India 3-1 in the BGT.

Chief Selector George Bailey On the Australian Squad

"We are fortunate to have our three big guys, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood & Cam Green back in the squad. The Australian team has had a dream run in the WTC cycle, beating Sri Lanka away before we beat India in the summer season after a wait of over a decade". Bailey stated
"Those series were an example of our consistency & the dream run we maintained in this 2-year cycle, the boys look up to the final & are looking forward to the final to defend their title, & also the challenge that South Africa will present us at Lord's."

After a promising start to his Test career, Beau Webster has retained an allrounder's berth in the squad while Sam Konstas has returned to the mix after leaving Sri Lanka early to fulfil his domestic commitments with New South Wales. On the other hand, Matthew Kuhnemann has got the nod ahead of Todd Murphy, even though he's likely to feature in the XI not until the three-Test West Indies tour, starting June 25.

Australia is vying to become the first team to defend its WTC title.
