The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has denied pulling out of the Asia Cup after news emerged of India's withdrawal from the ACC events. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia told to Cricbuzz about BCCI's plans for the Asia Cup, let alone about withdrawal.
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said that any matter related to participation in events of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has not come up for discussion at any level.

He added that any news or reports on the subject are purely speculative and imaginary in nature.

"Since this morning, there have been news about us pulling out from the Asia Cup, I want to tell you that all these news are baseless, we haven't even thought about the Asia Cup as yet, let alone withdrawing," Saikia said.
"At this stage, our main focus is IPL & England series, both men & women," the BCCI official further said.
Since Operation Sindoor was launched by the Indian forces against Pakistan, there has been intense speculation about the future of the Asia Cup and the second edition of the Emerging Women's Asia Cup in Sri Lanka. But the board hasn't yet thought about the events as yet.
"The Asia Cup or any ACC event, we haven't even talked about, as of now, no discussions have taken place, hence all the news that is coming is imaginary & baseless. We'll talk about the Asia Cup & will inform in due course," Saikia Concluded
