Shubman Gill is currently traveling as a reserve with team India, the same case with Avesh Khan, both are however expected to return home after the end of the US leg.
On Thursday both players had flown with the team to Florida from New York in a charter flight. Charter flights were arranged for both India and the USA.
It is learned Gill and Avesh's stay at the T20 World Cup was only limited till the US leg of the World Cup they were traveling with the team as it would have been difficult for the board to send players as replacements immediately from India to West Indies.
As per the Original plan,Both Shubman Gill & Avesh Khan were supposed to travel for the entire tournament but the management has decided to release them. Both are set to return home after Canada game

The pair could be asked to stay if there is an injury concern with the team set to practice in Florida on June 14 ahead of their game against Canada. With Yashasvi Jaiswal being the third opener, another reserve opener is not required, & with the teams flying to West Indies for the remainder of the World Cup with pitches suiting spin even an extra seamer won't be required.
Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed, and Avesh Khan were named as the traveling reserves when the squad was announced. While Gill and Avesh may go home but Rinku and Khaleel Ahmed are expected to stay.
India will play their first Super Eight game in Barbados, then they move to Antigua to play their game on June 22 before taking on Australia on June 24 in St. Lucia, if they reach the semi-finals it will be played in Guyana, with the final being scheduled on June 29 at Bridgetown Barbados.
