There is a lot of uncertainty roaming around Gujarat Titans with its coaching staff, even Ashish Nehra who had 2 great seasons with the franchise is unlikely to stay in the side. CVC Capital is the owner of the franchise.
They are a UK-based firm with headquarters in Singapore and Mumbai, reports suggest that the owners are thinking of a complete overhaul of the side. Previously the side included Ashish Nehra as the head coach, Vikram Solanki as director of Cricket, and Gary Kirsten as a mentor.
According to reports, multiple factors are leading to these changes, although GT had 2 great seasons under Solanki, Nehra, and Kirsten. Gary Kirsten has already left the side as he was appointed as the head coach of the Pakistan Men's Cricket team.
There are indications that Solanki might be able to survive the overhaul, but the head coach position is less certain.
It is being reported that Nehra might've displeased a few members at Gujarat Titans, but Nehra was a constant figure who would stand beside the boundary rope and guide the players, this tactic ensured GT was one of the successful franchises. However, during the IPL 2024, Nehra wasn't seen in much of capacity, something which might not be a coincidence.
