The SA20 League is one of the best upcoming domestic T20 cricket leagues in South Africa. Each of the 6 teams that compete represents a different state or territory. Each team will play their opponents twice in the 30-match round-robin affair then the 4 knockout matches follow the two teams who finish in the top 2 play the first Qualifier while the 3rd and 4th placed teams play the eliminator match. The winner of the eliminator clash plays with the loser of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2. The winner of the Qualifier 2 plays the final with the winner of the first qualifier.
the team that wins that match gets 4 points for a win while the loser comes empty-handed. There is also a bonus point awarded to the winning team if they win the match with a 1.25 additional winning run rate against their opponents.
